How we use the details you send us. Last updated 30 September 2026.
Who we are
C & K Brickwork is a sole trader business (Callum Collins trading as C & K Brickwork), bricklayers based in Boldon Colliery, Tyne & Wear. We are the “data controller” for the information described here, which means we decide how it is used.
You can reach us on 07449 016 008 or at candkbrickwork01@gmail.com. We work from customers’ homes rather than an office, so we do not publish a street address; if you need one in writing, ask us and we will give it to you.
What we collect
When you fill in the quote form on this website, we collect your name, phone number and postcode, the type of job you pick, and anything you type in the message box. Your email address is optional.
If you call, text or email us instead, we have whatever you tell us and your phone number or email address.
We also count how many people submit the form or tap the phone number on this site. That count is anonymous: it records the date and the type of action, and nothing that identifies you. There are no cookies and no tracking pixels on this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out the work and keep records of it, including invoices. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
- To see how many enquiries the website produces. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether our website works. No personal details are involved.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of trusted suppliers to run the website and our email. They only handle your information to provide that service to us, under contract:
- Oakmere Marketing — builds and looks after this website, and passes enquiries on to us.
- Google — our email, and the spreadsheet where enquiries are recorded.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
Some of these suppliers are based outside the UK. Where information leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards the law requires, such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
We may also share details with our accountant, or with anyone we are legally required to give them to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for 24 months, then deleted. Where we do the work, we keep the job and invoice records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because HMRC requires it.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, and nothing is stored on your device. That is why you are not asked to accept anything when you arrive.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, where we do not need to keep it;
- stop using it, or limit how we use it;
- hand it over to someone else in a portable format.
Ask us by phone or email and we will answer within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page. This version was published on 30 September 2026.
